Internet is
defined as a global computer network providing a variety of information and
communications facilities. Internet had becomes in one of the more useful
technological advances, nowadays, it takes an important place in the learning
process.
Internet
had replaced books in almost a complete way, due to many of the information
that can be finding there. The article discuss about the internet integration in
English language teaching (ELT) giving many ideas of the use of internet as a
good resource of learning, between those, are web-based projects , chat to
develop oral communication skills, blogs in the process of writing, etc.
In
addition, it mentioned the internet as a tutor, due to, that there are numerous
sites offer lessons on English language usage such as grammar and vocabulary,
teachers might assign your students to present on a column of their choice to the
class. Also, internet is mentioned as a tool which could be used for engagement
and interactive students by stimulate creativity and foster communication and
collaboration.
On the
other hand, something that calls me attention was, that the article mention
about a research that concluded the technology beneficial impact on linguistics
outcomes is slight and inconclusive, and through the time the web sites could
be obsolete. That’s meaning that they might not be reliable. In my point of
view, as an student of teaching English, you can find a lot of resources of
information that could help you, but you can’t be completely sure about them. Teachers
need to look for the better help for their work, but also the better help for
the process of learning of their students.
Hi Heisel, i like your comment about the bolg. i think the same as you, i see internet as a tool in which we can find many benefits. Nowadays many people use technology since big companies to small super markets, which means that teachers and students cand take advantage of it and use the in order to improve the teaching and learning procces. Also what you said is interesting: the Internet has replaced books, and is true when a english learner needs help with a grammar topic, vocabulary or even a different subject the first place to look for information is the internet.

And integrate it in education is necessary,Internet is a tool that provide to the students more possibilities to develop skills.But as you mention Hazel we have a lot information, wed sites, videos, etc but we cant be completely sure about those programs. Teacher and students need to be careful about what sites or information are looking.
